users can change their own password via 'Maintain Password'. Note passwords are
case-sensitive. |
| What is a Template? |
Templates allow you to save any data that you feel may be used on a
regular basis for your company formations, such as registered office address or
additional products. All companies are created using templates. Templates can
be created, maintained and deleted by accessing templates via the main page, by
all except Basic users but can be used by all. See also "Templates" and
"Ordering a Company" in the Guidance Notes. |
| When will my company be formed? |
Companies House aim to incorporate standard electronic registrations
within 24hrs of acceptance. It is possible to submit a same day electronic
application via Incorporator which must received by 1.00 p.m. to guarantee
incorporation. |

We will despatch your goods shortly after receiving the certificate from
Companies House. |

Because we lodge your company almost as soon as you press confirm it is
not normally possible to make changes to your order. It may be possible to make
any changes you require after incorporation. However, before confirming, data
can be saved then edited and processed at a later date. See "Ordering a
company" in the Guidance Notes. |
| Can I use my own precedents in Incorporator? |
We supply Jordans precedents as standard but it is possible to upload your
own if required. This can be achieved by clicking the 'Change company type or
draft' link within the Company details page and selecting ''upload a draft'
from within the associated company type, you will then have the option to
upload your own draft once you click 'Next Step'. For further information
contact your sales representative or email incorporator@jordans.co.uk. |
| What should I do if my company name is flagged the "same as"
another? |
A name is considered to be the "same as" another name appearing on the
index of company names if it is either identical to or would be deemed to be
essentially the same because the name differs only by minor elements.
Applications for associated company names must be accompanied by a letter of
consent from the existing company and must be supplied in pdf or MS Word format
and uploaded into Incorporator when prompted. |
| What is a sensitive word? |
Certain words and phrases may not be used in your company's name unless
permission is granted by the Registrar of Companies or a third party.
Incorporator will automatically check your name and inform you of the next
course of action. |
| What should I do if my company name contains a sensitive word? |
Certain sensitive words can be justified online simply by entering
additional information as prompted. Others require supporting physical
justification such as a letter of non-objection from a third party before
registration is permitted. This letter of non-objection must be supplied in
pdf or MS Word format and uploaded into Incorporator when prompted. |
| What is the difference between a service address and a residential
address? |
From 1 October 2009 every director must supply a service address and usual
residential address, however they can be the same. The service address can be
the directors home address, the company's registered office or an alternative
address. The service address will appear on the public record. |
| If entered my company name in lower case why was the certificate issued
in capitals? |
