| How do I change my log in details? | Administrators can change all users' details via 'Maintain Users'. All users can change their own password via 'Maintain Password'. Note passwords are case-sensitive. |
| What is a Template? | All companies are created using templates. Templates can be created, maintained and deleted by all except Basic users but can be used by all. See also "Templates" and "Ordering a Company" in the Guidance Notes. |
| When will my company be formed? | Companies House aim to incorporate standard companies within 24hrs of electronic lodgement. It is now possible to submit a same day electronic lodgement via Incorporator which should be confirmed by 1.30 p.m. in order to be guaranteed. |
| When will my goods be delivered? | If you entered officers details electronically we will despatch your goods shortly after receiving the certificate from Companies House. If you did not inform us of your officers details electronically we cannot dispatch the company until we receive your forms 288a. |
| What if I want to change my order after confirming it? | Because we lodge your company almost as soon as you press confirm it is not normally possible to make changes to your order. It may be possible to make any changes you require after incorporation. However, before confirming, data can be saved then edited and processed at a later date. See "Ordering a company" in the Guidance Notes. |
| Can I use my own precedents in Incorporator? | We supply Jordans precedents as standard but it is possible to insert your own if required. For further information contact your sales representative or email incorporator@jordans.co.uk. |
| What is a sensitive word? | Certain words and phrases may not be used in your company's name unless permission is granted by the Registrar of Companies or a third party. Incorporator will automatically check your name and inform you of the next course of action. |
| What should I do if my company name contains a sensitive word? | Many sensitive words can be justified online simply by entering additional information. Others require supporting (hard copy) justification such as a letter of non-objection from a third party before registration is permitted. |
| Can I enter a service address for my officers? | At the current time Incorporator does not provide for the entry of service addresses, but our UK Companies department will be able to help you. |
| If entered my company name in lower case why was the certificate issued in capitals? | Companies House will only issue certificates in upper case lettering irrespective of how the name is shown on the lodgement. However, you may display the name in lower case on your seal, Memorandum and Articles of Association and stationery if desired. |
| Can I incorporate plcs and companies limited by guarantee through Incorporator? | Yes. Just email incorporator@jordans.co.uk and let us know which company types you would like to incorporate. |
| Can I incorporate a company with two classes of share? | All companies formed through Incorporator have a single class of ordinary shares. If your company must have more than one class of share from the outset, our Specialist Companies department will be able to help you. |
| I want my share capital to be greater than ... ... ? | Due to the constraints of transmitting data electronically, there is a limit of ten characters digits for the share capital fields, meaning a maximum value of £9,999,999 (9999999.00) is possible. If you require a greater value please contact our Specialist Companies department. |
| Can I have a share value greater than £10? | Incorporator only allows for share values up to £10. If you require a greater value please contact our UK Companies department. |
